he Fate of the Furious” is the 8th movie in “The Fast and the Furious” franchise and this time it goes a little deeper and a little darker. The memory of deceased actor Paul Walker, who played Brian in most of the other movies in the series, still lingers. This adds to the melancholia of the movie and also strengthens the theme of “family first”.
In this movie Dom (Vin Diesel) goes rogue and assists new villain Cipher (Charlize Theron) with her extremely nefarious plans. Dom’s wife Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) is stunned by his actions as are the rest of the “F&F” group. “Mr. Nobody” (Kurt Russell), a low key federal agent, gathers them all together plus Hobbs and Deckard (Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham). These last two men are absolute enemies but will work together to thwart Dom.
