The Buffalo Sabres fell short 3-1 to the New York Islanders in the last preseasoon game for both clubs. Sam Reinhart scored the Sabres only goal in the second period, capitalizing on a nice pass from Johan Larsson.
The Sabres open the season at home on thursday October 5th, 2017 at the Key Center aganist the Montreal Canadians at 7pm.
