Buffalo is one of eight host cities for the first and second round games, and so it can be said that one road to the NCAA's 2017 men's basketball finals in Phoenix will go through Buffalo. The NCAA will be bringing the first and second round of the 2017's men's basketball championship round to KeyBank Center. The tourney will play six games at the home of the Buffalo Sabres on March 16 and March 18.
The games mark the sixth time since 2001 that the NCAA has brought the early round games to KeyBank Center.
