Buffalo Bills sign QB T.J. Yates

The Buffalo Bills signed free agent quarterback T.J. Yates on Monday, 

A former fifth-round selection by Houston six years ago, Yates also spent time with the Atlanta Falcons before signing with the Miami Dolphins in December after Ryan Tannehill’s injury.

He visited with Buffalo on a free agent visit two days ago.

Yates, 29, played two games for Houston as a rookie, including a postseason victory over Cincinnati and appeared briefly for Miami in their playoff game against Pittsburgh in January.

In 18 career games, Yates has thrown for 1,352 yards, scoring six touchdowns and eight interceptions.

the Bills announced the signings of eight free agents, including cornerback Bradley Sylve, and defensive end Jake Metz.

 Also signed Friday were:Cornerback Marcus Cromartie, Offensive tackle Cameron Jefferson, Linebacker Jacob Lindsey, Offensive lineman Jordan Mudge,  Linebacker Junior Sylvestre, and Linebacker Eddie Yarbrough.
