With the 171st overall pick (fifth round) in the 2017 NFL Draft, the Bills selected Nathan Peterman from Pittsburgh. In two seasons at Pittsburgh, Peterman completed 61.1 percent of his passes, averaged 8.3 yards per attempt, and threw 47 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. He ran a system that should help him more easily adjust to the NFL than quarterbacks coming from spread systems.
